Two walks departing, respectively, at 10:00 am and 10:30 am on Sunday from the village in bloom:

➢ For those who want to break a sweat, guided 7 to 10 km route with professional guide;
➢ For those who want to plant small trees.

7% of the tourists declare to choose the destination of their trips according to the possible “walk” to be taken around it. Translated into macro numbers, there are tens and tens of millions of guests who would be struck by the variety of the landscape, the unspoiled nature and the hospitality of the inhabitants of Tuscia, if they only knew.

The Francigena, with Santiago de Compustela perhaps the queen of walks, for a thousand of years  has been hosting travelers to Rome or even to the Holy Land. In ancient times, armies often fought for its control.It was the most important communication artery in Europe. Fortunately, now we do not fight as much but instead we talk and discuss, sometimes animatedly as in the land of Tuscia where, every Monday, we still talk very loudly about the Sunday soccer match.

The Ghost village of Celleno, one of the starting points.

In recent years everyone noticed the ancient european road and immediately variants were born, the Cimina one the Etruscan one etc. But also new and equally fascinating routes. The one of castles and fairy tales, see for example https://visit.viterbo.it/passeggiata-dei-castelli-e-delle-fiabe/

In recent months, the Association Stay Freedom of Villa San Giovanni in Tuscia, Viterbo Lazio,  has created, marked and walked the path of the 3 villages, often indicated with C3V.

From their home town, Villa, the path crosses unspoiled nature and the rests of ancient civilizations. Despite being a new hours long, the time flies while walking thanks to the continuous variation of the landscape and the richness of the ancient monuments with bridges and Tumbs almost every where. Obviously this is the perfect set up to enjoy  a great meal seasoned with extra virgin olive oil from the area, considered by the inhabitants to be the best in the world. In a very short time, the journey has been so successful that local restaurants are considering closing on Sunday evenings because they have nothing left to offer after the onslaught of lunch.

Here are some photos along the fantastic route.
